Empowering Families through Special Education Advocacy
Exceptional advocacy is at the heart of my special education services. I am a licensed social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia, have a degree in public health, and am a paralegal. I also am a mother of two children with multiple disabilities. My training and experience gives me a justice-focused perspective on the challenges faced by special needs families and I can provide personalized support to help them access resources and achieve their goals.
Officially founded in 2023, after almost 20 years of work and study in social and educational justice and disparities, I am proud to be able to offer my vast skill set to help you support your child. In addition to my experience in educational justice, I have over a decade of experience as a case manager for children and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health support needs.

I am able to assist with any disability, but my specialties are behavior based needs like ADHD, autism, emotional disturbance, and co-existing medical conditions.

I am a proud graduate of the nationally recognized COPAA "SEAT" (Special Education Advocate Training) program, levels 1 and 2. COPAA's SEAT program is the highest standard for education advocate training.

I am a certified PDA professional, and completed the PDA North America Pathological Demand Avoidance Professional Certification trainings, levels 1 and 2.

Continuing education is important to me, as research and law change all the time. I am dedicated to keeping up with new developments in disability law, civil rights, education law, and medical research.

I am a proud member in good standing of the following professional organizations:
Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA)
National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET)
Education Law Association (ELA)
Council For Exceptional Children (CEC)
The Arc (of VA and nationally)
